Job Description

Netcom Div. 27, LLC is a Central/West Florida-based Telecommunications and Electrical Wiring Contractor known for delivering high-quality commercial solutions. We specialize in Structured Cabling, Fiber Optics, Security Systems, DAS, AV Integration, and Access Control across office buildings, schools, government spaces, and industrial sites. We're seeking an experienced Structured Cabling Technician to support our expanding workload and uphold the craftsmanship and reliability we're known for. Role and Responsibilities Install, terminate, and test low voltage copper and fiber optic cabling Install racks, patch panels, cable tray, and other support infrastructure Route cable through conduit, ceilings, and between floors per spec Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and construction documents Identify and terminate according to 568A/B standards, multi-pair, and fiber strand configurations Ensure code-compliant, clean installations and accurate documentation Provide second-level support, assist junior techs, and escalate unresolved issues as needed Communicate with management and team leads to complete projects safely and on schedule Must-Have Qualifications 5+ years of commercial structured cabling experience Proficiency with copper, fiber optic, and voice/data cabling standards Strong ability to read technical schematics and install infrastructure hardware Familiarity with 568A/B, 25/50-pair, and color-coding standards Preferred Qualifications Manufacturer training certifications (e.g., Panduit, Leviton, Corning) Experience conducting field-level diagnostics and training others Understanding of BICSI, NEC, and safety compliance standards Strong organizational and documentation skills
