Job Description

Royalty Padding is seeking a dependable and hardworking Safety Padding Installation Technician to join our growing team. This position involves the installation, repair, and maintenance of specialized safety padding systems in behavioral health facilities, psychiatric hospitals, correctional institutions, detention centers, schools, and other secure environments throughout the United States. This is a travel-intensive position and is not suitable for individuals seeking a local or stationary job. Candidates must be willing and able to travel extensively nationwide on a regular basis. Projects are located across the country and may require employees to be away from home for extended periods. Typical projects range from 1 to 2 weeks in duration, after which employees may return home briefly before traveling to the next project location. Travel schedules vary based on project needs, and flexibility is essential. This role also requires significant driving, including long-distance travel between job sites, airports, hotels, and customer facilities. Candidates must possess a valid driver's license, maintain a clean driving record, and be comfortable spending extended periods on the road. Previous experience in construction, installation, maintenance, carpentry, handyman services, flooring, wall systems, or similar trades is preferred but not required. We are willing to train motivated individuals who demonstrate a strong work ethic, reliability, professionalism, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate is physically capable of lifting materials, using power tools, working with measurements and layouts, and performing installation work in a variety of environments while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Requirements:
Must be willing to travel extensively throughout the United States. Must be able to work on projects lasting 1-2 weeks or longer. Must possess a valid driver's license. Must be comfortable with frequent and long-distance driving. Must be able to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical labor. Ability to pass facility security clearances when required. Construction or installation experience preferred but not required. Willingness to learn and follow company installation procedures.
