Full Job Description Access Control Installation Technician Fort Lauderdale, FL Pay:
$24- $30/hr

Contract We're looking for an experienced Access Control Installation Technician for a commercial security project in Fort Lauderdale. This is not a cable pulling position —we need a technician who is confident installing access control hardware, security devices, and integrated systems with minimal supervision. Responsibilities Install commercial access control systems and associated field devices. Install video surveillance (CCTV) cameras and related equipment. Install intercom and telephone entry systems. Install wireless electrified locking systems. Perform cable rough-in, device mounting, terminations, and system testing. Read and interpret construction drawings, floor plans, door schedules, and hardware schedules. Ensure all installations meet NEC requirements and low-voltage industry standards. Work independently while maintaining quality workmanship and project timelines. Requirements Minimum 3 years of commercial low-voltage installation experience .Strong experience installing:
Access Control Systems CCTV / Video Surveillance Intercom & Telephone Entry Systems Wireless Locking Hardware Experience terminating and testing low-voltage cabling. Ability to read blueprints, device location plans, and construction drawings. Solid understanding of NEC requirements and low-voltage installation standards. Reliable transportation. Standard hand tools and basic power tools. Ability to pass a background check. Preferred Product Experience Experience with any of the following manufacturers is highly preferred: YaleASSA ABLOY
