Overview Join our dynamic team as a Cable Puller and become a vital part of our telecommunications and networking projects! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for installing, pulling, and managing various types of cabling systems that form the backbone of modern communication networks. Your expertise will ensure seamless connectivity for clients across diverse industries, contributing to the reliable operation of their critical infrastructure. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in fiber optics, Ethernet, and low voltage systems while working with cutting-edge technology in a fast-paced environment. Duties Pull, route, and install various cables including Cat5, Cat6, fiber optic cables, and low voltage wiring according to schematics and project specifications Use hand tools and power tools safely to prepare cable pathways through walls, ceilings, and conduits Assist with network installation tasks involving Cisco routers, Juniper equipment, VoIP systems, and computer hardware setups Support field service activities such as cable testing, troubleshooting network issues, and repairing telecommunication equipment Follow NEC (National Electrical Code) standards and electrical safety protocols during all installation processes Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to ensure accurate cable placement and connections Conduct fiber splicing when necessary to join fiber optic cables with precision and care Maintain detailed documentation of installation procedures, test results, and asset records for project tracking Experience Proven experience as a service technician or in a related field involving telecommunication or electrical systems Familiarity with CCTV systems, LAN (Local Area Network), Ethernet cabling, and network equipment such as Cisco routers and Juniper devices Hands-on experience with fiber splicing, equipment repair, and low voltage wiring installations in data centers or similar environments Knowledge of schematics interpretation, computer networking fundamentals, and telephony systems including Avaya or similar platforms Skilled in using hand tools like wire strippers, crimpers, ohmmeters for testing continuity and signal integrity Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients and team members Ability to work safely with power tools and electrical components while adhering to NEC standards Join us if you're ready to build robust communication networks while advancing your technical expertise!
