Cable Technician II

Location:

Rayville, LA Paid drive time to travel into Rayville, LA $50/day Per Diem for food and free Lodging provided Cable Technician II We are hiring an experienced Cable Technician II to install, test, and troubleshoot structured cabling systems. This role is ideal for a motivated technician who wants steady work, growth opportunities, and a strong team environment.

Responsibilities:

Install and terminate CAT3 and CAT5 cabling, jacks, faceplates, and surface-mount boxes Build and organize telecom closets including racks, patch panels, fiber hardware, and grounding Perform cable testing and troubleshooting using toners, meters, and continuity tools Identify active voice and data circuits Complete all required documentation accurately and on time Follow all safety and quality standards

Requirements:

Strong problem-solving and communication skills Ability to work on ladders, in ceilings, and in confined spaces Ability to lift 50 pounds and move up to 75 pounds Ability to distinguish cable colors and read small print Reliable attendance and a professional attitude Willingness to travel within the region as needed
