Data Center Cable Technician

Description Fiber splicing Pull, dress, and label cabling (Cat5e/Cat6) according to TIA/EIA standards Begin RJ45 connector and patch panel terminations with guidance Assist in labeling and cable identification Learn and perform basic punch-downs for telecom blocks Support cable testing using basic tools (Fluke, EXFO) under supervision Gain exposure to fiber cable dressing and basic handling Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment Skills install, installation, low voltage, termination, cat6, cat5, construction, cable, Fiber, Splicing, Telecommunications, structured cabling, Cable installation Top Skills Details install,installation,low voltage,termination,cat6,cat5,construction,cable,Fiber,Splicing Additional Skills & Qualifications 1. Termination/punchdown 2. Must have structured cabling experience, Level 2 technicians and up (no entry level cable pullers or tech 1 candidates will be considered) 3. Has not worked in this data center in last 6 months. 4. Must obtain OSHA 10 before first day Experience Level Entry Level Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Atlanta, GA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
