35-45 hours per week (overtime as needed) This is a lead technician role requiring prior lead experience. Candidates must have 4+ years of hands-on experience installing access control systems and be able to lead installations while remaining actively involved in the work. About the Role We are seeking a Lead Access Control & Gate Systems Installation Technician with 4+ years of hands-on experience installing access control systems from start to finish. This is an access-control-focused lead role involving complete system builds, including conduit installation, low-voltage wiring, device installation, access control panels, gate systems, troubleshooting, and system commissioning. We are searching for a hands-on leader who can remain actively involved in the installation work while also helping guide job-site execution. This position is not intended for technicians stepping into a lead role for the first time. Prior lead experience is required. Candidates should have experience leading installations, coordinating work on site, supporting other technicians and ensuring projects are completed safely, cleanly, correctly and on time. Responsibilities Lead access control and gate system installations from rough-in through final commissioning Stay hands-on with conduit installation, wiring, device installation, terminations, troubleshooting, and testing Install and wire access control panels, power supplies, card readers, door contacts, REX devices, push-to-exit devices, maglocks, and electric strikes Install, wire, and troubleshoot automated gate access systems, gate operators, telephone entry systems, keypads, card readers, vehicle loops, relays, and safety devices Integrate gate operators with access control systems and entry devices Install EMT and PVC conduit Pull, route, terminate, and test low-voltage wiring Program, test, and commission access control and gate access systems Troubleshoot wiring, power, device, relay, gate operator, and system issues Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation Coordinate daily installation work with technicians, customers, property managers, and internal team members Help ensure jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and to the company's quality standards Install and support CCTV systems as needed Install and support phone, network, and related low-voltage systems Terminate and test CAT5/6, fiber, coax, and low-voltage cabling Maintain clean, safe, and professional job sites Travel daily from the office to assigned job sites in a company vehicle Required Experience 4+ years of hands-on access control installation experience Prior experience in a lead technician, crew lead, or site lead role Experience installing access control systems from start to finish Experience with automated gate access systems, gate operators, and entry devices Experience leading or coordinating technicians on installation projects Experience installing conduit, pulling wire, terminating devices, and testing systems Experience wiring and troubleshooting access control panels, readers, keypads, telephone entry systems, vehicle loops, relays, safety devices, and power supplies Ability to troubleshoot wiring, power, device, gate operator, and system issues Ability to complete full system builds from rough-in through commissioning Ability to work independently across multiple job sites Ability to communicate clearly with team members, customers, and property managers Ability to deliver clean, safe, and first-time-right installations Strongly Preferred Experience CCTV installation experience Experience with Brivo, Avigilon, DoorKing, LiftMaster, or similar systems Experience working in residential communities, managed properties, commercial sites, or multi-site environments Network cabling experience, including CAT5/6, fiber, or coax Experience supporting integrated access control, gate, CCTV, and low-voltage systems Benefits 401(k) 401(k) matching Health insurance Paid time off On-the-job training Professional development assistance Referral programme Core Values We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and reflects our core values on every job site: Safety

This role is best suited for someone who has already led access control or gate system installations, managed job-site execution, and taken responsibility for completing systems from start to finish. Candidates with only general low-voltage, telecom, CCTV-only or cable-pulling experience may not meet the requirements unless they also have direct access control, gate systems and prior lead experience.

Please describe one access control or gate access project you led from start to finish. What was your role, what was the scope, and how many technicians were involved? Do you have CCTV installation experience? CCTV experience is strongly preferred, but candidates with strong access control, gate systems, and lead experience will still be considered.
