Travel Cable Technician

Description Several Installation & Cable Technicians are needed to support projects in Ames, Des Moines, IA , and surrounding states. Some travel is required , and per diem is provided for travel assignments. Candidates must have at least 6 months of low‑voltage experience ; however, individuals with strong knowledge and hands‑on technical schooling will also be considered. Technicians will be responsible for installing and supporting structured cabling and network infrastructure, including: Data racks and cabinets Cat6 and coaxial cabling Faceplates, testing, and labeling Technicians will also assist with setting up DirecTV cable boxes, modems, and satellite dishes for individual rooms, as well as helping build out server closets for network deployments. Work will take place both indoors and outdoors at school and apartment building locations . Occasional duties may include trenching and directional drilling . Technicians will receive daily direction and task assignments from project leads. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
