Travel Technician

Job Description We are seeking several Installation & Cable Technicians for projects in Ames, Des Moines, IA , and surrounding states. Some travel is required, and per diem is provided for travel assignments. Candidates should have at least 6 months of low‑voltage experience , though individuals with relevant hands‑on schooling or technical training will also be considered. Technicians will be responsible for installing data racks and cabinets, Cat6 and coax cable, faceplates , and performing testing and labeling . Additional duties include assisting with the setup of DirecTV cable boxes, modems, and satellite dishes for individual rooms, as well as helping to build out server closets for network installations. Work will take place both inside and outside of school and apartment buildings . Occasionally, technicians will assist with trenching and directional drilling . Daily tasks and project direction will be provided by on‑site leads . Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
