This role requires expertise in voice, data, video, fiber optic, and security systems to ensure reliable network and communication infrastructure for clients. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot voice, data, and video cabling systems. Install and maintain structured cabling systems, including copper and fiber optic networks. Perform installation, programming, testing, and maintenance of telephone and communication systems. Install and service data network infrastructure, including network cabling, patch panels, and related equipment. Install, inspect, and troubleshoot fire alarm systems in accordance with applicable codes and standards. Install and maintain nurse call systems in healthcare facilities. Install, configure, and service CCTV surveillance systems and video monitoring equipment. Install and maintain electronic security systems, including access control and intrusion detection systems. Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, wiring diagrams, and project documentation. Perform system testing, certification, and documentation of completed installations. Troubleshoot system failures and perform repairs to restore service. Ensure all work is completed safely and complies with company policies, industry standards, and local codes. Coordinate with project managers, customers, and other trades to complete projects efficiently and on schedule. Maintain tools, equipment, and materials in good working condition. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical training, apprenticeship, or certification in telecommunications, low-voltage systems, or related field preferred. Experience installing and servicing voice, data, video, fiber optic, fire alarm, CCTV, nurse call, or security systems. Knowledge of structured cabling standards, telecommunications systems, and low-voltage installation practices. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documents. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to work on ladders, lifts, and elevated work platforms. Ability to work in construction environments, mechanical rooms, ceilings, and confined spaces. Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, climb, and stand for extended periods. Work Environment Work is performed in commercial office buildings, healthcare facilities, educational institutions, industrial facilities, and construction sites. Travel to multiple job locations may be required.
