Job Description

Escape the desk—build and deploy next-gen tech in the field! Embark is growing and seeking a Field Technician to join its team in Des Moines, IA. This is a full-time, on-site position and a newly created role designed to support Embark's expanding pipeline of commercial AV and IT infrastructure projects. In this role, you will deliver hands-on installation excellence across multiple job sites. Working independently with minimal oversight, you will execute structured cabling, rack assembly, and device setup while ensuring seamless technology deployment for Embark's clients. Why Join Embark? Job Responsibilities:
Install integrated technology systems, including low-voltage cabling (Cat6/6A, fiber, coax) and device termination Assemble, wire, and dress equipment racks cleanly according to project specifications Install, test, and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure (switches, routers, WAPs) and AV control systems (Crestron, Extron, QSC) Manage time independently across concurrent projects and adapt quickly to shifting site priorities Coordinate with project managers and clients to document completed installations and ensure successful project closeouts
Requirements:
High school diploma 2+ years of low-voltage, IT infrastructure, or AV field installation experience Valid driver's license Experience using CRM and productivity tools For more than 20 years, Embark has delivered innovative, client-focused solutions as a trusted, family-owned business.
