Structured Cabling -
Lead Technician Job Description:
Full time experienced structured cabling lead technician with a minimum 3 years in our industry installing commercial voice, data, fiber optic, CCTV, and security cabling systems. Individual will be responsible for coordination of your team with subcontractors and suppliers. Follow industry standards for installation, termination, testing, and labeling. Must have a great work ethic and experience mentoring less skilled team members in a positive manner.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Must be an exceptional team player and with good communication skills; oral and written Must be a solid teacher of younger, less-skilled technicians Committed to doing, and proud to do, quality work Proficient in proper installation, termination, and testing of solutions installed Install various types of raceway and cable tray, including conduit Operate Company copper and fiber optic testing equipment Proficient in trouble shooting, both copper and fiber optic installations (including cameras and access control) Help manage materials, tools, and equipment Complete paperwork accurately and in a timely manner (timesheets, material usage reports, service orders, daily activity reports) Other responsibilities as assigned
Requirements:
Represent Company professionally and be an enthusiastic / reliable team player Follow safety rules and requirements Maintain a positive attitude and remain cool under pressure and when facing tight timelines Organized, punctual, and motivated self-starter Must be able to lift 50 lbs and perform twisting and turning movements Must be comfortable working on ladders and on lifts Must be able to travel for periodic out-of-town projects Pass pre-employment and random drug screening and a criminal background check Continually pass required background checks to work on customer sites Maintain valid driver's license PreCom is An Equal Opportunity Employer ..
