Full Job Description Job Title:
Low Voltage Cable Technician Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Low Voltage Cable Technician to join our team at BCS. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of experience in installing CAT6, CAT6A, multi-pair, and fiber optic cables, as well as capabilities in cable termination and testing. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to read blueprints are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Install and terminate low-voltage cable systems, including CAT6, CAT6A, multi-pair, and fiber optic cables. Conduct testing of installed cables to ensure functionality and compliance with industry standards. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation. Maintain a safe and organized work environment while traveling to customer sites. Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients and team members. Be available for on-call work as needed based on company demands.
Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of experience in low voltage cable installation and testing. Proficient in installing CAT6, CAT6A, multi-pair, and fiber optic cables. Ability to read blueprints and technical schematics. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to function well in a team environment or on your own. Valid driver's license and a good driving record. Eligible to work in the US and able to pass a background check and drug test.
Work Environment:
Fieldwork that requires travel to various customer locations, including occasional overnight stays for out-of-town jobs. Physical demands include lifting up to 75 pounds, climbing ladders, lift work, and working in confined spaces. On-call availability may be necessary based on company needs.
