Job Description
Job Description | Installation Technician The Installation Technician will be responsible for the professional installation of a wide range of structured cabling, interactive flat panels, and audio/video equipment at various client sites. This dynamic role involves travel, including some overnight stays, to deliver exceptional service and intelligently connected environments. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a dedication to quality workmanship. Installation Technicians will report directly to the Director of Installation Services and play a critical role in the successful completion of our installation projects.
Requirements and Preferences Technical Skills and Qualifications:
Low-Voltage Systems Expertise:
Proven ability to install, terminate, and test various low-voltage systems, including network cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, fiber optic), security systems (CCTV, access control), and audio/visual systemsBlueprint and Diagram Interpretation:
Proficient in accurately reading and understanding blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to ensure correct system layout and installationTool Proficiency:
Competence in the safe and effective use of a wide range of hand and power toolsPhysical and Environmental Requirements:
Physical Stamina:
Capable of performing physically demanding tasks for extended periods in diverse environments. This includes standing, kneeling, bending, climbing, and crawling in confined spaces, as well as working at heights using ladders, scaffolding, or liftsLifting Capability:
Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials, often exceeding 50 poundsManual Dexterity:
Excellent hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills for precise tasks such as cable termination and working with small componentsAdditional Preferences:
