Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Structured Cabling Installer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, testing, and maintaining structured cabling systems that support data, voice, video, and security networks across various facilities. Your expertise will ensure reliable and high-performance network infrastructure, enabling seamless communication and data transfer for our clients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing your technical skills and customer service abilities to deliver exceptional results. Responsibilities Install, terminate, and test cabling systems including Cat5, Cat6, fiber optic cables, and low voltage wiring in commercial and industrial environments Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute installation plans Perform fiber splicing and troubleshoot network issues related to Ethernet, LAN (Local Area Network), and telecommunication systems Use hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other equipment to ensure proper installation and equipment repair Coordinate with project managers and clients to meet project specifications and deadlines while maintaining safety standards Conduct field service activities including system testing, troubleshooting, repairs, and customer support Document installation processes, test results, and system configurations for accurate records Requirements Proven experience as a service technician or installer specializing in structured cabling or telecommunications Strong knowledge of computer networking concepts including Ethernet, Cisco routers, Juniper equipment, VoIP systems, and network installation procedures Skilled in fiber splicing techniques with the ability to troubleshoot fiber optic cabling issues Familiarity with schematics, electrical codes such as NEC (National Electrical Code), and low voltage wiring standards Experience working with telephony systems such as Avaya or similar platforms Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics accurately Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other installation equipment Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients Physical ability to work at heights or in confined spaces as required by project sites Relevant certifications or training in telecommunications or electrical work is preferred but not mandatory Join us to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to building robust network infrastructures! $25.00 - $38.00 per hour
