Floor Technician - Cable & Wire-Harness Assembly Engineering The Floor Technician position is located at a premier manufacturing facility in Attleboro, MA. $23-$28/hr Responsibilities of the
Floor Technician:
Serve as the vital link between Manufacturing Engineering and the Production Floor to ensure seamless daily operations. Lead the build of high-precision prototypes and initial production runs for new product introductions. Develop and refine detailed cable and wire harness assembly work instructions to maintain process integrity. Expertly operate semi-automatic equipment, including cut machines, crimp presses, wire twisters, and strippers. Perform rigorous functional and continuity testing using specialized fixtures to guarantee product reliability. Execute complex soldering of wires, terminals, and electromechanical components with superior craftsmanship. Conduct comprehensive visual and dimensional inspections to ensure 100% compliance with design specifications. Collaborate on sourcing essential electrical components, connectors, and specialized tooling. Qualifications of the
Floor Technician:
5-10 years of proven experience in cable/wire harness manufacturing. Deep knowledge of IPC-620 standards with active certification required. Exceptional ability to write clear, accurate, and technical assembly process instructions. Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on expertise in a high-stakes production environment.
