Job Description

Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cable Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in telecommunications and field service, with expertise in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting various cable systems. This role requires a hands-on approach and the ability to work independently in diverse environments. Duties Install, maintain, and repair cable systems for residential and commercial clients. Perform fiber splicing and ensure proper connectivity for telecommunication services. Utilize tools such as voltmeters and ohmmeters to test electrical connections and troubleshoot issues. Conduct thorough inspections of cable installations to ensure compliance with industry standards. Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with clients regarding service needs and updates. Utilize hand tools and specialized equipment to complete installations efficiently and safely. Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports and inventory management. Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to computer networking and telecommunications. Requirements Proven experience in field service or as a service technician within the telecommunications industry. Proficient in fiber splicing techniques and the use of testing equipment such as voltmeters and ohmmeters. Strong understanding of computer networking principles and electrical systems. Ability to telecommunicate effectively with clients to address their needs promptly. Familiarity with hand tools required for installation and maintenance tasks. Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments.
