Job Description

When you join WM you become part of a company that is: 100% employee-owned with 40+ years of industry history A Top 5 Systems Integrator Giant ENR top 500 firm We have a Low Voltage/CCTV/Card Access Technician position available in Eden Prairie, MN. This position will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of low voltage systems, including CCTV surveillance, card access control, and related security and communication infrastructure. This role ensures that all systems are installed to code, function reliably, and meet the security needs of our clients across multiple locations. Please Note Only candidates local to Eden Prairie are being consider. This role isn't scheduled to sponsor a work visa. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Install, configure, and maintain low voltage systems, including CCTV cameras, card access systems, intercoms, and alarm systems Run and terminate cabling (Cat5e/6, coaxial, fiber, etc.) for new and existing installations Program and test access control panels, cameras, and related devices Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on all security and communication systems Troubleshoot and resolve system faults, wiring issues, and device malfunctions Work with project managers and clients to ensure system requirements are met and installations are completed on schedule Maintain accurate documentation of installations, service calls, and system configurations Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations Provide technical support and training to end users and internal staff as needed Participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergency service requests Travel 15% - 20% to various branch sites for installations, upgrades, and critical repairs Qualifications, Skills & Abilities High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or associate degree in electronics, security systems, or related field preferred Proven experience installing and servicing low voltage systems, CCTV, and card access control Familiarity with major brands such as Honeywell, March Networks, Bosch, Axis, Avigilon, or similar Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent verbal and written communication skills Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed Ability to lift, carry, or move up to 50 lbs High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or associate degree in electronics, security systems, or related field preferred Proven experience installing and servicing low voltage systems, CCTV, and card access control Familiarity with major brands such as Honeywell, March Networks, Bosch, Axis, Avigilon, or similar Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent verbal and written communication skills Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed Ability to lift, carry, or move up to 50 lbs

  • Worldwide Travel Assistance Salary Range Salary range is $45,000 - $64,000 annually depending on location and qualifications plus a discretionary bonus and employee stock program.
