  • Full-time Allstates Consulting Services is looking for Low Voltage Cable Technician to work in Industrial and Heavy Commercial Environments at various locations in the US.
You need to have a Background in installing and troubleshooting structured cabling systems. Data Cable Technician with CAT6 cabling & fiber optic. Knowledge and experience with CCTV, Security Systems, and Alarm Systems is a plus. Industry-specific certifications are a huge plus (BICSI, NEC, TIA/EIA). Please list certifications if any. Available and willing for extensive travel, road warrior. Flexible and willing to work on-call, day, night, weekend, or overtime shifts as the job requires. Experience reading blueprints and site maps. Knowledgeable in multiple termination types for multi-mode and single-mode fibers. Knowledgeable in closeouts and MDFs. Ability to work in cramped spaces. Ability to operate a BOOM or scissor lift, and ability to work at heights 40 plus feet. Must have basic telecommunication tools, PPE, and reliable transportation. Knowledge of cabling infrastructure. Highly proficient with the use of smartphones and computers including email. Has PPE, basic telecommunication tools, and all industry-associated hand tools. Comfortable working unsupervised and with teams of 4 to 20 other technicians. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; no DUI or DWI in the last three years and reliable transportation. (Fleet Vehicles would be provided eventually)
  • Conduct tests to ensure all newly installed cable systems and component devices are operational.
Troubleshoot issues with cable networks to ensure the proper functioning and to ensure the system meets local, county, state, or federal codes; legal and/or insurance requirements. Adhere to all required project safety requirements as set forth by our customer, and OSHA. Provide regular updates to Project Management on project status and current objectives. +++ Experience in conduit, EMT, Ridged, SS and Alum.
