Full Job Description Job Description:
Carolina Custom Automation is seeking a reliable and motivated Low Voltage Technician to join our growing team. We specialize in access control, CCTV/video surveillance, networking, and audio/video systems across multifamily and commercial properties. This position involves installation, service, and troubleshooting of low voltage systems in both new construction and existing environments.
Responsibilities:
Install and service access control systems (readers, maglocks, strikes, keypads) Install and configure CCTV/video surveillance systems Run and terminate low voltage cabling (Cat5e/Cat6, 18/2, 18/4, etc.) Install and troubleshoot networking equipment (routers, switches, access points) Work with gate systems, telephone entry systems, and intercoms Diagnose and resolve system issues in the field Coordinate with property managers, contractors, and team members Maintain clean and organized job sites
Qualifications:
Experience in low voltage, security, or related field preferred Knowledge of access control and CCTV systems a plus Basic understanding of networking (IP addressing, routers, switches) Ability to read and follow wiring diagrams Strong troubleshooting skills Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Pay:
$20.00 - $40.00 per hour
