We are a growing telecommunications company focused on delivering reliable, high-quality connectivity solutions. We're looking for a motivated Telecommunications Apprentice to join our team and train toward becoming a skilled Splice Technician. This is an entry-level position with hands-on training, mentorship, and a clear path for career advancement.

What You'll Do:

You will be responsible for assisting technicians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of fiber optic and copper cable systems while learning to perform cable preparation, termination, and basic splicing under supervision. Provide support for the operation of specialized equipment such as fusion splicers and cable testing tools and help prepare job sites for efficient project execution. Follow all safety guidelines and industry standards to maintain a safe work environment. Accurately document completed work, including cable layouts and test results, and ensure tools, equipment, and company vehicles are properly maintained. Provide additional support during emergency repairs and service restoration as needed. Must be available for overnight shifts (Monday-Thursday, 6 PM-4 AM) . Participation in a rotating on-call schedule is required .

Experience:

No telecommunications experience required — we will train. 1+ year of construction or hands-on work preferred but not required.

Skills:

Basic mechanical ability and comfort using tools. Willingness to learn technical skills. Attention to detail and ability to follow directions. Strong teamwork and communication skills

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Comfortable climbing ladders and working in confined spaces. Able to work indoors, outdoors, and at heights

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Trade or technical training is a plus

Other:

Reliable, punctual, and adaptable with a strong commitment to maintaining a safety-focused mindset. Must have a valid driver's license and be able to pass a drug screening, background check, and DOT screening.
