Job Summary The CCTV / Grout Technician is responsible for inspecting underground pipelines using closed-circuit television (CCTV) equipment, analyzing footage to identify structural issues, and performing grout mixing and injection for pipeline repair. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Lodi, NJ, requiring strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety in a demanding field environment. Key Responsibilities Set up, deploy, and maintain CCTV inspection equipment to assess the condition of underground sewer and utility pipelines. Review and analyze inspection footage to identify structural defects, blockages, and conditions requiring repair. Mix, prepare, and inject chemical grout to seal leaking joints, cracks, and infiltration points in pipeline infrastructure. Maintain accurate and detailed inspection records, daily reports, and work documentation. Perform basic troubleshooting and field repairs on CCTV and grouting equipment; report significant maintenance needs to the supervisor. Adhere to all safety protocols, confined space entry procedures, and OSHA requirements at all times. Drive a CDL-required inspection or grouting truck to and from job sites in compliance with DOT regulations. Perform other duties as assigned by the Foreman or Superintendent. Required Qualifications Experience with CCTV inspection equipment for underground pipeline assessment. Familiarity with grout mixing, injection techniques, and pipeline repair methods. Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues in the field. Knowledge of construction and pipeline inspection safety protocols, including confined space procedures. Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills. Ability to work in confined spaces and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record required. Current DOT medical certification required. Preferred Qualifications Experience in heavy construction or underground utility work.
NASSCO PACP/LACP
certification or familiarity with pipeline defect coding standards. OSHA 10-Hour Construction certification. Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools, technologies, and inspection methods. Work Environment & Physical Requirements Full-time, on-site role at active construction and inspection job sites across NJ, NY, and PA. Daily exposure to confined spaces, sewer environments, chemical grouting agents, heavy equipment, and varying weather conditions. Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 75 pounds regularly. Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in tight or confined spaces for extended periods.
