The Electronics Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electronic systems and components used in production, testing, and other operational functions. This role involves diagnosing issues with electronic equipment, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring that all systems comply with safety standards and operate efficiently.Key Responsibilities:
Troubleshooting & Repair:
Diagnose malfunctions in electrical systems, including circuit boards, sensors, wiring, and other electronic components. Perform repairs or replacements as necessary.Preventive Maintenance:
Conduct routine maintenance on electronic systems and equipment to prevent breakdowns and extend operational life.System Installation:
Assist in the installation of new electronic systems, including wiring, testing, and calibrating equipment.Testing & Calibration:
Use diagnostic tools to test electronic components and ensure accurate calibration for optimal performance.Documentation:
Maintain detailed service records, including repairs, tests, and parts used. Update equipment manuals as required.Safety Compliance:
Ensure that all work complies with electrical safety standards, company policies, and regulatory guidelines.Collaboration:
Work with engineers, production staff, and other team members to resolve issues and improve system reliability.Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelors degree in electrical engineering, or a related fieldExperience:
Junior:
0-3 years of experience as an Electronics Technician or similar role in a manufacturing, production, or DoD environmentJourneyman:
3-10 years of experience as an Electronics Technician or similar role in a manufacturing, production, or DoD environmentSenior:
10+ years of experience as an Electronics Technician or similar role in a manufacturing, production, or DoD environmentClearance:
Top Secret with SCI eligibilitySkills:
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical diagrams, schematics, and blueprints. Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. Familiarity with soldering, wiring, and assembling electronic components. Knowledge of industry safety standards and best practices. Ability to use electronic testing equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.). Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift to 20 lbs. Standing, sitting, and bending for extended periods. Exposure to noise, dust, and electrical hazards in the work environment.Work Schedule:
