We are seeking a motivated and skilled Cable Technician Contractor to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunication and network systems in various field environments. Your expertise will ensure reliable connectivity for our clients by performing precise cable installations, fiber splicing, and network setup. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work hands-on with cutting-edge technology while providing essential services that keep communication networks running smoothly. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and ready to tackle diverse field service tasks with professionalism and enthusiasm. Responsibilities Install, troubleshoot, and repair telecommunication cables, Ethernet wiring, and fiber optic systems in commercial and residential settings Perform fiber splicing with precision to ensure optimal signal integrity and performance Set up and configure network equipment including Cisco routers, switches, and other networking hardware Conduct cable management using hand tools such as crimpers, wire strippers, and mechanical fasteners Test electrical circuits and low voltage systems using tools like ohmmeters to verify proper operation Assist with telephony system installation and maintenance to support voice communication services Follow safety protocols for working with electrical components and low voltage systems in various field environments Skills Proven experience in service technician roles within telecommunication or networking fields Strong knowledge of computer networking concepts, Ethernet standards, and telephony systems Skilled in fiber splicing techniques for high-quality optical connections Familiarity with Cisco routers, switches, and network configuration procedures Ability to use hand tools effectively for cabling and mechanical installations Mechanical knowledge related to cable management, conduit installation, and equipment mounting Experience working with low voltage electrical systems safely and efficiently Proficient in testing electrical circuits using ohmmeters or similar diagnostic tools Excellent field service skills with a focus on customer satisfaction and quality workmanship Knowledge of telecommunication standards and safety regulations applicable to field installations Join us as a Cable Technician Contractor to play a vital role in delivering reliable communication solutions.
