to work from!!!!! Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Travel Fiber Technician to join our team. This role involves traveling to various client sites to install, maintain, and repair fiber optic and cable networks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in telecommunication systems, network installation, and electrical work, with the ability to work independently in diverse field environments. This position offers the opportunity to develop technical expertise while providing essential services for telecommunications infrastructure. Responsibilities Perform fiber splicing, cable installation, and termination in various environments Install and troubleshoot network equipment including Cisco routers, Ethernet switches, and telephony systems Conduct cable pulling, routing, and mechanical installation of low voltage wiring Use hand tools and specialized equipment such as ohmmeters for testing electrical continuity and signal integrity Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and network configurations Assist with troubleshooting network issues related to telecommunication systems and computer networking Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with industry standards during all field activities Provide excellent customer service by effectively communicating technical information and resolving issues efficiently Experience Proven experience in fiber splicing, network installation, and cabling projects Service technician experience within telecommunication or electrical fields preferred Knowledge of Cisco routers, Ethernet wiring, telephony systems, and low voltage cabling Familiarity with mechanical knowledge related to cable management and conduit installation Hands-on experience using hand tools, ohmmeters, and other testing devices for electrical troubleshooting Strong understanding of computer networking principles and telecommunication infrastructure Ability to work independently in the field with minimal supervision while maintaining safety standards Prior field service experience involving telecommunication or low voltage systems is highly desirable This position requires a self-motivated professional with excellent technical skills who is willing to travel frequently to client sites. Candidates should possess strong mechanical aptitude, electrical knowledge, and the ability to adapt quickly to new environments.

$1,000.00 - $2,500.00 per week
