Cable Installer

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cable Installer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting various telecommunication and network systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Your expertise will ensure seamless connectivity for our clients by expertly handling fiber optic splicing, network installation, and low voltage cabling. Responsibilities Install and configure telecommunication systems, including fiber optic cables, Ethernet networks, telephony systems, and low voltage wiring. Perform fiber splicing with precision to ensure optimal signal transmission and network performance. Use hand tools and mechanical knowledge to run cables through walls, ceilings, and conduits safely and efficiently. Set up and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, and other networking equipment to ensure reliable connectivity. Conduct field service visits to diagnose issues, repair damaged cabling, or upgrade existing systems according to client specifications. Test electrical circuits using tools like ohmmeters to verify proper function and safety standards are met. Follow safety protocols related to telecommunication installations and electrical work while maintaining high-quality workmanship. Experience Proven experience as a service technician or cable installer within the telecommunication or networking industry. Hands-on experience with fiber splicing techniques and network installation procedures. Familiarity with Cisco routers, Ethernet cabling standards, and computer networking fundamentals. Knowledge of telephony systems, low voltage wiring practices, and electrical safety standards. Ability to operate hand tools such as crimpers, wire strippers, drills, and testers effectively. Mechanical aptitude combined with electrical experience is highly desirable for complex installations. Strong field service background with excellent problem-solving skills in diverse environments. $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
