Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cable Technician Contractor to join our team and support the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of telecommunication and network systems. In this role, you will work in the field, ensuring high-quality cable and network infrastructure setups for various clients. Your expertise in fiber splicing, network installation, and electrical systems will be essential to deliver reliable connectivity solutions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical skills in a dynamic environment while contributing to the seamless operation of communication networks. Duties Install, test, and troubleshoot telecommunication cabling, including Ethernet, fiber optic, and low-voltage wiring systems Perform fiber splicing and termination to ensure optimal signal transmission and network performance Set up and configure network devices such as Cisco routers, switches, and other networking equipment Conduct field service activities including site surveys, system testing, and repairs for telephony and data networks Use hand tools and electrical testing devices such as ohmmeters to diagnose issues and verify connections Maintain accurate documentation of installation processes, test results, and service reports Follow safety protocols related to electrical work, mechanical systems, and low-voltage cabling Qualifications Proven experience as a service technician or field technician in telecommunication or networking environments Strong knowledge of computer networking concepts including Ethernet, TCP/IP, and network protocols Hands-on experience with fiber splicing, cable management, and mechanical knowledge of cabling infrastructure Familiarity with Cisco routers, switches, and other telecommunication hardware Ability to operate hand tools such as crimpers, wire strippers, drills, and testers effectively Electrical experience with low-voltage wiring systems and troubleshooting electrical issues using appropriate tools Knowledge of telephony systems and cabling standards is a plus Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in fast-paced field settings Join us as a Cable Technician Contractor to be part of a team dedicated to delivering top-tier communication solutions. Pay:
$600.00 - $1,500.00 per week
