Job Description Lead Low Voltage Cable Technician - Structured Cabling Columbia, SC Join Next Level Technician as a Lead Low Voltage Technician in Columbia, SC! Earn competitive pay, enjoy weekly pay, benefits, and steady work with a national leader in low voltage staffing. Apply now!
Responsibilities:
Lead and coordinate small crews of low voltage technicians on commercial job sites Pull, terminate, dress, and label CAT5e/CAT6 cable Install and terminate fiber optic cabling (preferred) Test installed cable using Fluke or similar testers Install racks, patch panels, cable trays, ladder rack, cabinets, and pathway systems Support MDF/IDF buildouts and telecom room installations Read and interpret blueprints, system layouts, and project drawings Communicate with project managers and ensure job site productivity Maintain job site safety standards and quality installation practices Work safely on ladders and lifts (comfortable with heights)
Requirements:
3+ years of commercial low voltage or structured cabling experience Previous experience leading technicians or small crews preferred Strong experience with CAT5e/CAT6 installations and terminations Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project layouts Experience installing cable trays, pathway systems, or conduit a plus Reliable transportation and leadership skills Basic hand tools and PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, steel-toe boots)
Preferred Qualifications:
Fiber optic installation and termination experience BICSI certification a plus OSHA or lift certifications Experience working on large commercial or industrial projects Why Work with Next Level Technician in Columbia, SC?
