Field Technician

Overview We are seeking a dedicated, high-character, dependable Field Technician to join our team. This is an entry level starting role with ample opportunities for advancement within various departments of the company. The candidate will be responsible firstly for learning the proper procedures and techniques associated with the various tasks and job types that exist within the company. You will observe and assist senior technicians with these various tasks in order to complete the projects/ work requests at hand. The candidate's attitude, effort, and integrity are far more important to success in this role as compared to current experience or skillset within the glass and glazing industry. Hands on training will be provided in order to develop the neccessary skills needed to complete the job duties at a satisfactory level. You will be a valued and respected member of our team from day 1, and we will approach your development and advancement from a long-term standpoint. FOR CANDIDATES WITH PRIOR GLASS/GLAZING EXPERIENCE

Adjustments to the pay range for candidates with prior experience will be considered. Relocation assistance may be considered for certain candidates needing such support and will be determined on a case-by-case basis. Candidate does need to be capable of performing certain strenuous physical tasks such as lifting components and products up to 50lbs. A full range of motion and ability to work with tools and products at various angles and positions is required. The ability to work safely at height from ladders, lifts, platforms, etc is necessary and any work will include the proper safety requirements as stated by the applicable governing association.

Duties Acquire and maintain proficient working knowledge of the various materials, uses, and fabrication techniques. Perform installation of fabricated glass products such as single lite panes, dual pane IGUs, complete window assemblies, etc. Utilize hand tools (both powered and manual) to fabricate, fasten, manipulate materials as needed. Demonstrate excellent communication skills both on and off the job sites Maintain accurate records of service performed and report on job status. proficient knowledge and use of our operations and customer management system, JOBBER, and update necessary details within the system as needed. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects. Skills (technical skills preferred not required) Dependability Coachability and the ability to maintain a student mindset. Integrity spanning all interactions and tasks Commitment to quality in all things and tasks Proven experience in field service or as a service technician. Experience handling, cutting, fabricating raw annealed glass sheets. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to work with various hand tools. Familiarity with measuring tools and devices (tape measures, levels, etc.) Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective client and team interaction. Ability to work independently and in a team setting while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
