JOB SUMMARY
The technician will perform installations and service of electronic control systems which may include door access control, CCTV, low voltage communication, fire alarm and networking including cable management, electronic locks, Wi-Fi locks, network switches and associated hardware. As a low voltage technician, this person is expected to be self-motivated and work within a team structure.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. Regularly lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds. Occasionally team lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 pounds. Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel and crouch. Frequently required to push/pull a ladder, ascend and/or descend ladder while holding awkward sized items. Frequently required to reach above head and below waist. Occasionally required to sit, climb and balance while installing equipment. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.
JOB FUNCTIONS
Provide Low Voltage Installation, Service and Maintenance. Install and terminate cable. Work with various tools and power tools. Know and understand cable management, door controllers and magnetic locks on an expert level. Know and understand how to install keypads, badge readers and crash bars on an expert level.
EDUCATION
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required. 3+ years of experience installing and servicing EAC systems like Brivo, Keyscan, Potter, Qalsys, Fire Lite. 3+ years of experience installing and servicing EAC and non EAC hardware such as rim panics, cylindrical levers, electric strike, electrified trims, PIRs, exit button, and maglocks. Experience installing and serving of CCTV systems such as Hikvision, Axis, Exacqvision, Milestone, Geo vision is a plus. Experience installing and servicing fire alarm systems such as Potter and Fire Lite. Currently possess or have ability to obtain proper state licensing once hired (Low Voltage B license, Alarm Installer license) Minimum of 3 years of experience in the physical security, fire alarm or low voltage communication industry installing fields
Requirements:
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Possess and maintain a valid state driver's license and a clean driving record. Must be detail-oriented and organized. Must have the ability to meet deadlines. Strong troubleshooting skills and excellent problem-solving skills. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external customers. Good verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to read and interpret Construction prints. Must be mechanically inclined and have Electrical experience. Must understand networking, such as the difference between static IP and DHCP. Must understand how to set static Ips and how to ping and verify devices are on networks. Must adhere to all safety and housekeeping policies and guidelines TRAVEL Must be willing to regularly travel throughout Texas and on occasion out of state.
