Low Voltage Technician - Travel/Per Diem to Abilene

Job Summary:

We are seeking Low Voltage Technicians to join our client's team for a travel/per diem data center project in Abilene, TX (traveling from Austin, TX). This role involves installing and servicing various types of cabling (such as fiber optic or cat6) in commercial construction environments. Candidates must be comfortable working from lifts and ladders and possess a strong mechanical aptitude.

Key Responsibilities:

Pull, test, splice and terminate various types of cabling Follow directions from team leads and supervisors Install support structures (ladders, racks, j-hooks) Work safely and comfortably from ladders, scissor lifts, and boom lifts Perform work in commercial new construction data center environments Use hand tools such as drills, screwdrivers, snips, and levels proficiently Other duties as needed

Requirements:

Flexible availability, including overtime when needed - working up to 7 12 hour shifts days or nights Ability to travel to Abilene (lodging and per diem provided) - position is based in Abilene Positive attitude, willingness to learn, reliable, punctual, and strong communication skills Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work independently Ability to lift/move 50+ lbs and remain mobile throughout the workday Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen Authorized to work in the United States and able to E-Verify Previous low voltage or fiber experience required
