Responsibilities:
Pull, route, terminate, dress, and label Category cable (CAT5e/CAT6/CAT6A) Perform structured cabling installations in commercial environments Test and troubleshoot installed cabling using Fluke or similar certification testers Punch down voice and data jacks, patch panels, and termination points Install racks, patch panels, cable trays, cabinets, MDF/IDF spaces, and pathways Safely operate lifts and work at heights as required Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and cable layouts Maintain proper cable management and installation standards Support additional low voltage systems as needed
Requirements:
Must be a Level 1 or Level 2 Low Voltage Technician Experience with Category cable pulling and structured cabling installations required Previous commercial/industrial low voltage experience required Valid lift certification required Experience operating aerial lifts required Knowledge of CAT5e/CAT6/CAT6A cabling, pathways, and cable management Ability to read and follow blueprints and system layouts Basic hand tools and PPE required (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, steel-toe boots) BICSI and OSHA certifications a plus Working knowledge of telecom/data networks preferred Must be available to work Monday-Friday, 12-hour shifts Why Work with Next Level Technician in Plano & Dallas, TX?
