Job Description
What's in it for YOU? Experienced Techs only. $30/hour and 40+ hours per week for many months. Pay every 2 weeks. Very little weekend work. Most work is Monday through Friday. Several large cabling projects that will cover 6 months or more of work. Will hire one or two people to the main team. Option to become Ubiquiti WIFI + Cameras + Access Control Certified. Option to become a RingCentral Certified installer. Option to learn how to install camera systems and NVRs. Full job description and Job Responsibilities Network cabling including: Installing ceiling support for pathways + labeling and pulling and dropping cable + terminating on user end and patch panel + network closet build out + installing patch panels and vertical + horizontal cable management + connecting patch panel ports to switch ports. Reading and following a floor plan and labeling cables as installed. Testing Cat 6 cable installations using a FLUKE cable tester and trouble shooting where needed. Installing fiber and break out boxed and terminating and testing. Building beautiful network closets. Clean and neat and nice. Work with customers on moves, adds, and changes. Install cameras and wireless access points and speakers and TVs. Maintain a high standard of professionalism with clients and your fellow TELMART teammates. Be ready and reliable and good at communicating with the team. Preferred Skills & Experience 5 years of network cable experience - no rookies please. Fiber installation and termination experience a plus. Experience installing cameras + NVRs + APs + speakers + TVs Experience installing patch panels and building out network closets. Experience on a lift and OSHA certification. Experience installing switches and routers and network equipment a big plus. Required Equipment & Qualifications Reliable personal vehicle Valid driver's license Must have a standard set of tools for basic I.T. and networking tasks (e.g., screwdrivers, cable testers, crimpers). Reliable, Punctual, courteous, and presentable Must be able to use a ladder up to 25 ft Must be able to lift 50 lbs Must be able to work on a fork lift.
