Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Installation Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in security systems and low voltage installations, demonstrating mechanical knowledge and field service experience. This role involves the installation and maintenance of various security systems, including CCTV, and access control systems. The Installation Technician will work both independently and as part of a team to ensure high-quality service delivery. Duties Install, maintain, and troubleshoot security systems including CCTV, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and access control systems. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for installation tasks. Read and interpret schematics and system designs to ensure accurate installations. Perform cabling for low voltage applications in compliance with NEC standards. Conduct field service visits to troubleshoot issues with existing installations. Collaborate with clients to understand their security needs and provide tailored solutions. Document installation processes and maintain accurate records of services performed. Provide training to clients on system operation and maintenance. Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to security systems. Ability to travel 20% of the time. Experience Proven experience as a Service Technician or in a similar role within the security or telecommunications industry. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in installation and troubleshooting of electronic systems. Familiarity with computer networking principles and remote access software. Experience with alarm system sales is a plus. Knowledge of locksmithing techniques is advantageous. Ability to work in construction environments, adapting to various job site conditions. Understanding of sensors, surveillance technologies, and electrical components related to security systems.
