Our 9,000 colleagues in North America (33,000 globally) build essential products: underground and submarine power cables, medium- and low-voltage construction and infrastructure lines, and optical fiber, copper, and connectivity solutions that enable telecom voice, video, and data. Role snapshot Support the production floor by driving down scrap, optimizing material usage, and boosting productivity through disciplined quality control and process troubleshooting. Work closely with operations to ensure process controls meet standards. What you will do Execute precise, timely inspections on machines and finished goods Record hourly quality data and complete reports Validate critical dimensions and monitor material consumption to aid cost reduction Quarantine and remove non-conforming product Partner with operations to keep process controls aligned with requirements Troubleshoot product and process issues affecting quality Hit production goals while maintaining quality standards Carry out additional related tasks as assigned Follow OSHA regulations and safe work practices Work conditions Non-temperature-controlled manufacturing environment; frequent exposure to very hot or cold temperatures Mostly indoors in an industrial setting with occasional outdoor work Regular exposure to loud sound levels Qualifications High school diploma or GED Proficient in reading and writing English Experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting (required) Strong attention to detail and accuracy Able to stand, walk, and perform repetitive motions for long durations Capable of lifting at least 25 pounds Compensation and details Starting pay: 20 dollars per hour
