Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Charter Cable Technician Contractor to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing cable and telecommunication systems in residential and commercial settings. Your expertise will ensure seamless connectivity for our customers by performing network installations, fiber splicing, and troubleshooting various telecommunication issues. This contractor position offers an exciting opportunity to work in the field, utilizing your technical skills to deliver exceptional service while adhering to safety standards and industry best practices. Responsibilities Install, configure, and troubleshoot cable television, internet (Ethernet), telephony, and fiber optic systems at customer locations. Perform fiber splicing to connect fiber optic cables accurately and efficiently. Set up and test equipment Conduct cabling tasks involving low voltage wiring, mechanical installation, and proper cable management. Use hand tools such as crimpers, wire strippers, ohmmeters, and other mechanical tools to complete installations and repairs. Perform field service tasks including site surveys, system upgrades, repairs, and routine maintenance. Communicate effectively with customers to explain technical issues clearly and professionally. Adhere to safety protocols related to electrical work, low voltage systems, and working at heights or in confined spaces. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high-quality standards. Additional Details New Hire assistance program. Details will be given during interview.
  • 1099 Cable Technician work .
  • Assistance with vehicle and tools can be arranged
  • Experienced techs preferred, training available for inexperienced candidates
  • Paid weekly, pay is based on job per job basis, rate cards are available
  • Strive to provide the best customer experience every day

  • Must be available to work weekends
  • Place and install required coax cable as needed
  • Installs all passive and active devices, pedestals, vaults and coax splice cases required to house CATV equipment to meet customer requirements Willingness to travel to other markets as needed Requirements
  • Valid driver's license
  • Passing of all pre-employment requirements (MVR, Background Check, Drug Screen)
  • Ability to use signal level meter, volt-ohm meter, AC clamp meter, FVD and other hand tools and drills
  • Ability to travel daily and able to work 7 days of the week. (Standard work week of 5-6 days per week)
  • Excellent customer service, time management, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to carry, climb, operate, and work upon an extension ladder (approximately 28 feet high and 75 pounds)
  • Ability to complete work outdoors, in tight spaces and elevated by bending, reaching, twisting, climbing, and working while standing up to 70% of the time
  • Ability to safely work and navigate various terrains, managing equipment, safety equipment and tools
  • A body weight of no more than 275 pounds to perform ladder work safely.
