2-3 Year Pls advise that this role is going to be dealing with areas that are very old and dirty and hot. They have to be okay to work in these conditions and get their "hands and body dirty" Installer/troubleshooter/cabler with solid understanding of fiber, wired, and wireless networks. This candidate should absolutely know cabling standards & limits, fiber optic cable options & terminations, service lead lengths, pin-outs, conduit & J-hooks, drip loops, industrial vs commercial WAPs, cabinets... and be comfortable if not joyful getting their hands dirty. Go-getters that understand that the client has network in prisons that are 150+ years old. They are hot, filthy, difficult to move around in , and were never designed for any kind of network. Our best staff are also backyard mechanics who rebuild cars for fun, get out in the sticks, and otherwise don't feel complete unless some form of dirt and mud are involved.
