Job Description Lead Structured Cabling Technician - San Antonio, Texas Join Next Level Technician as a Lead Structured Cabling Technician in San Antonio, Texas! Earn $20-$28/hr, enjoy weekly pay, benefits, and steady work with a national leader. Apply now!
Schedule:
Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00
PM Responsibilities:
Lead and support structured cabling installations on commercial job sites Pull, terminate, dress, and label CAT5e/CAT6 cable Test installed cable using Fluke or similar testers Punch down voice and data jacks Install racks, patch panels, cable trays, cabinets, MDF/IDF, ladder racks, and pathway systems Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and system layouts Lead crews onsite and ensure projects stay on schedule Install and support low voltage systems including access control, CCTV, audio visual, and fiber optic systems Troubleshoot cabling and connectivity issues as needed Work safely on ladders and lifts while following all site safety requirements
Requirements:
3+ years of commercial structured cabling or low voltage experience Previous lead technician experience preferred Strong experience with CAT5e/CAT6 installations and terminations Experience testing and troubleshooting structured cabling systems Ability to read blueprints and work independently Experience leading crews or coordinating work onsite BICSI, Lift, and OSHA certifications are a plus Must have basic hand tools and standard PPE including hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, and steel-toe boots Working knowledge of telecom/data networks Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to job sites throughout the San Antonio area as needed Why Work with Next Level Technician in San Antonio, Texas?
