Job Description

Primary Purpose:
The Cabling Technician will contribute to the existing Extraco Technology team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a wide range of data cabling installations. The Cabling Technician will handle on-site servicing, diagnostics and repairs for company's cabling products. This can range from copper / fiber optic cabling. The Cabling Technician must be an organized multitasker and team player able to handle many diverse projects at once and meet tight deadlines. Cabling Technician's Responsibilities The following essential functions are not an all-inclusive list of work requirements. Individuals will perform other job-related duties as assigned, including work in other areas to cover absences or otherwise balance the workload.
Essential Functions:
1. Installing or upgrading 2. Documenting installation and repairs of cabling projects 3. Maintaining all tools and equipment used during service calls 4. A hands-on self-starter with a positive attitude, willing to roll up their sleeves to do what it takes to get the job done, and a strong work ethic will be essential. 5. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize workload, to ensure the timely completion of assigned tasks and projects. 6. Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently 7. Creative problem solver who thrives when presented with a challenge 8. Travel to job site to trouble shoot issues, diagnose problems, and fix or replace equipment as needed 9. Follow company procedures and safety policies 10. Work well with a team You must possess a valid driver's license and be able to lift 50 pounds 3-5 Years of experience as a Cabling Technician or performing Cabling / Physical Security Technician related activities within the last 10 years 12. Proven field service experience 13.
