Cable Technician Contractor

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cable Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunication systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in fiber splicing, network installation, and general telecommunications. You will work in various environments, ensuring that our clients receive high-quality service and support. Responsibilities Perform installation of cabling systems for telecommunication networks. Install and configure network equipment including Cisco routers and Ethernet systems. Conduct field service operations to troubleshoot and resolve network issues promptly. Utilize hand tools and specialized equipment such as an ohmmeter for testing and diagnostics. Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports and inventory management. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient project completion while adhering to safety standards. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns effectively. Requirements Familiarity with low voltage electrical systems and mechanical knowledge related to cabling installations. We provide training. Ability to work independently in various environments while managing multiple tasks efficiently. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work. Experience with telephony systems is a plus. Must be able to lift heavy equipment and work in physically demanding conditions as required.
