$22-24/hr We are seeking an Entry-Level Cable Technician to support structured cabling and fiber installations in data center and commercial environments. This role involves interpreting cable documentation, installing fiber and copper cabling, and performing rack-and-stack work while maintaining clean, organized, and standards-compliant installations. Key Responsibilities + Interpret cable maps, labels, and technical documentation to ensure accurate routing and installation + Perform rack-and-stack of network and server equipment according to site and industry standards + Pull, route, and stage fiber trunks, including high‑count bundles (144‑count and 288‑count) + Install and manage fiber and copper patch cords + Dress and secure cabling in designated pathways (basket tray, fiber runners, etc.) + Maintain a clean, organized workspace with strong attention to detail Required Skills + Structured cabling and cable installation + Low-voltage systems + Rack and stack experience + Cable pulling and dressing + Familiarity with Cat5/Cat6 cabling + Telecommunications fundamentals Qualifications + 6+ months of experience in data center or commercial cabling environments + Experience with structured cabling and fiber installation + Ability to follow labeling standards and technical documentation + Familiarity with data center or telecom environments preferred + Strong work ethic and commitment to quality workmanship Experience Level + Entry Level Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Chantilly, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
