Childress Solutions/Veterans Choice is actively hiring experienced Low Voltage Security Technicians for ongoing data center and commercial security projects throughout Virginia. Relevant experience is required , we have entry-level positions available too! Most work is in Northern Virginia data centers and mission-critical facilities installing and servicing access control, CCTV, intrusion systems, and structured cabling infrastructure including large-scale Cat6 installations. We are looking for dependable technicians who can work independently, maintain high-quality workmanship, and start immediately. Immediate interviews and steady work available for qualified candidates. Responsibilities Install, pull, route, label, and terminate Cat6 cabling in data center and commercial environments Install and terminate low voltage cabling including Cat6, composite, fiber, alarm wire, and control wiring Install cable pathways including J-hooks, ladder rack, basket tray, and conduit Install access control devices including card readers, strikes, mag locks, REX devices, and control panels Install CCTV cameras, NVRs, and video surveillance equipment Assist with programming, testing, and commissioning of security systems Troubleshoot wiring, device, and basic networking issues Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and system layouts Support conduit installation, cable pathways, and equipment mounting Perform installations in active data center and mission-critical environments while following all site safety requirements Maintain clean and organized job sites Complete daily reports and communicate project progress with supervisors and project managers Requirements Valid Driver's License 2+ years of low voltage, structured cabling, or commercial security installation experience Experience pulling and terminating Cat6 cabling Experience with access control, CCTV, intrusion systems, or structured cabling projects Basic understanding of IP-based security devices and networking Ability to use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and testing equipment safely Ability to read construction drawings and wiring schematics Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Preferred Experience Experience in data centers or commercial construction environments Experience with Lenel, Genetec, Avigilon, Brivo, OpenPath, Verkada, Honeywell, Bosch, or DSC OSHA, lift certifications, fiber optics, rack-and-stack, or conduit experience is a plusPay:
