Job Description

Position Overview:
This role is a vital part of our Security Division at Innovative Systems and plays a key role in supporting company growth. We're looking for a motivated, hands-on technician who thrives in a fast-paced environment, works effectively both independently and as part of a team, and brings a strong technical aptitude paired with excellent customer service skills. Ideal candidates have practical knowledge of access control and CCTV systems and are eager to learn new technologies and methods. 06
Electrician Duties and Responsibilities:
Inspect, install, service, and maintain commercial and access control and video surveillance systems (basic through complex) Perform advanced troubleshooting and repairs, including programming, device testing, cable running, equipment mounting/replacement, and system calibration Train customers on system operation and recommend ways to maximize features and functionality Respond promptly to customer inquiries, service requests, and complaints; resolve issues professionally and efficiently Build and maintain strong working relationships with the sales team Conduct site visits with sales consultants for new or existing clients Define scope for add-ons and change orders, obtain customer approval, and prepare necessary documentation Manage projects from initial walkthrough through final handover, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met Act as on-site lead, coordinating and overseeing technicians, apprentices, and subcontractors Maintain detailed records of all service calls, inspections, troubleshooting, and project documentation Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements:
Must hold a valid Washington Low Voltage (06) Journeyman License or Apprentice License Minimum 2 years of hands-on technical experience in security systems, access control, door hardware, or related skilled trades (Preferred) Must be willing to travel out of town (not often) Must be willing to work long hours Must have good communication skills Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record Must be able to pass a drug test and criminal background check Must have at least 2 verifiable references

Lock Hardware:
HES, Rutherford, Schlage, Allegion, Assa Abloy, SDC, magnetic locks, electrified strikes, crash bars, trim sets, retrofit kits, and related components
Pay:
$35.00 - $50.00 per hour
