Field Technician (Cable)

Position Summary - Field Technician (Cable) We are looking for motivated, self-driven Field Technicians to join our growing telecommunications team. This is a W-2 position offering stable, ongoing work in coaxial cable installation, maintenance, and service. Technicians work directly in residential and field environments and represent our company with professionalism and quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and service coaxial cable systems in residential and commercial settings Complete work orders, service documentation, and production reports accurately and on time Report hours, materials used, and job activity per company procedures Ensure all work meets company quality standards and client requirements Follow OSHA regulations and all applicable safety protocols Communicate proactively regarding job progress, delays, and field conditions Handle company-issued tools and equipment with care Maintain professionalism with customers, clients, and team members at all times Compensation Pay is production-based, rewarding technicians who are consistent and motivated.

Estimated earnings:

Minimum:

~$80,000/year for standard production levels

Typical:

$1,800-$2,000/week for most active technicians Top earners: $100,000+/year All compensation is fully compliant with federal and state minimum wage and overtime laws.

Required Qualifications:

Ability to use hand tools, ladders, and handheld mobile devices Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and problem-solve in the field Valid driver's license and clean driving record Flexibility to work varied schedules, including weekends when needed Professional appearance and conduct Must pass a background check and drug screening in accordance with local laws Personal vehicle (truck, van, or SUV) preferred — limited company vehicles are available and assigned to existing technicians
