Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Structured Cabling Technician with strong Cat6 installation skills to support and lead commercial low-voltage projects. This role requires someone who can work independently, lead job sites, and communicate directly with customers to help design and execute structured cabling systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, terminate, label, and test Cat6 structured cabling systems Lead structured cabling projects and oversee job site progress Perform cable plant build-outs in commercial environments Use testing equipment to certify and troubleshoot cabling systems Interpret blueprints, layouts, and site plans Meet with customers to assess needs and assist with site design Maintain professional communication with clients and team members Ensure installations meet industry standards (TIA/EIA, BICSI)
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of structured cabling experience Proven experience with Cat6 installation and termination Must have own tools Strong understanding of cable testing and certification Ability to lead projects and work independently Strong communication and customer service skills Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients at various levels of understanding.
Preferred Qualifications:
Low voltage license (preferred, not required) Experience in commercial or industrial environments Experience with project leadership or crew supervision Valid certifications or training related to NEC standards, fiber optic splicing, telecommunication wiring practices is preferred.
Work Environment:
Commercial job sites May require travel to local job locations Physical work including lifting, climbing ladders, and working in ceilings
Schedule:
8-10 hour shifts Monday-Friday (some overtime/weekends as needed)
Pay:
From $20.00 per hour
