Statewide Machinery is hiring experienced diesel mechanics for remote Alaska field work. Statewide Machinery is a small, fast-moving Alaska company that takes the jobs other shops turn down. The Schedule That Makes This Work Rotational:

roughly 5-6 weeks on, then 3 weeks to a month off We build the rotation around you. Tell us what fits your life and we'll work with it. 70+ hour weeks while you're on, so your "on" stretches are full earning periods What We Pay Up to $65/hour for the right experience Overtime rules apply — on 70-hour weeks, that adds up fast 401(k), health insurance, For Out-of-State Mechanics Living quarters provided during your rotation Fly up, work your stretch, fly home for your month off The Work Repair all makes and models of heavy equipment, marine engines, and power generation equipment Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems Travel statewide to remote sites, then return to headquarters Reach remote sites by small aircraft; get around on four-wheelers and snowmachines Document work orders completely and daily What You Bring Experience repairing and maintaining diesel engines Advanced mechanical aptitude; strong with schematics and diagrams Extensive heavy equipment and marine experience Welding/fabrication a strong plus Independent judgment — you can run a job without hand-holding Valid driver's license with acceptable record Your own professional-grade hand tools in working condition (specialty/diagnostic tools provided) Lift 45 lbs regularly; willing to travel to remote Alaska This is real Alaska field work — small planes, snowmachines, long hours, and problems that don't come with a manual.
