In person A day in this role Start your shift in our Huntsville shop, review work orders, and prioritize critical fleet needs. You'll run full-vehicle inspections on Class 8 equipment, dive into engine and electrical diagnostics with OEM manuals and wiring diagrams, and turn wrenches on everything from brakes and suspensions to hydraulics and HVAC. Whether you're aligning a steer axle, welding a cracked bracket, or chasing an intermittent electrical fault with a multimeter, your craftsmanship keeps our trucks safe, reliable, and ready to roll. What you'll do Perform end-to-end inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on semi trucks: engines, transmissions, air brake systems, suspensions, hydraulics, electrical, and HVAC. Handle preventive maintenance—oil and filter changes, tire service, alignments, and fluid exchanges—to extend vehicle life and uptime. Use schematics, technical manuals, and electronic testing tools to pinpoint and resolve complex mechanical and electrical issues. Fabricate and repair components with hand and power tools, welding equipment, and precision fabrication techniques as needed. Follow and uphold safety procedures and regulations governing heavy equipment maintenance and shop operations. What you bring Hands-on experience maintaining and repairing semi trucks or heavy-duty vehicles in an industrial or dealership environment. Deep knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, air brakes, hydraulics, suspension systems, HVAC systems, and shocks & struts. Proficiency with diagnostics using schematics, wiring diagrams, and electronic test instruments. Skilled with hand tools, power tools, welding gear, soldering techniques, and assembly processes. Background in tire work, wheel alignment procedures, brake service, and general fleet maintenance best practices. Compensation & benefits
