In this vital role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a fleet of heavy-duty trucks and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will help keep our operations running smoothly, supporting the transportation needs of our business. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of heavy machinery and automotive systems, contributing to a fast-paced and safety-focused environment. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on semi trucks, including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, hydraulics, and electrical systems. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire services, alignments, and fluid replacements to maximize vehicle longevity. Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues efficiently. Repair and fabricate components using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques as needed. Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations related to vehicle maintenance and heavy equipment operation. Skills Proven experience working with semi trucks or heavy-duty vehicles in a dealership or industrial setting. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, air brakes, hydraulics, suspension systems, HVAC systems, shocks & struts. Skilled in automotive diagnostics using schematics and electronic testing tools. Proficient with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering techniques and assembly processes. Experience with tire service, wheel alignment procedures, brake repair, and general vehicle maintenance.
Pay:
$25.00 - $26.00 per hour
