Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, brakes, and air brake systems using schematics and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) manuals. Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire services, alignments, and preventive inspections on heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and other industrial machinery. Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding, soldering, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to ensure optimal equipment performance. Operate heavy machinery safely during repairs or testing procedures to verify repairs and troubleshoot issues effectively. Interpret technical schematics and electrical diagrams to diagnose complex mechanical or electrical problems accurately. Maintain detailed service records for each piece of equipment serviced or repaired to ensure compliance with safety standards and warranty requirements. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating repair status clearly and offering guidance on maintenance best practices. Requirements Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic with dealership experience preferred; strong background in automotive diagnostics and heavy equipment repair is essential. Extensive knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, HVAC systems, electrical systems, and power tools operation. Ability to read schematics accurately and follow OEM guidelines for repairs and maintenance procedures. Skilled in fabrication techniques including welding and soldering; capable of assembling or repairing components with precision. Experience working with farm machinery, industrial equipment, excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractor-trailers, and other heavy-duty vehicles or machinery. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills; capable of heavy lifting safely when required. Valid certifications related to air brake systems, alignment services, tire service, welding certifications are highly desirable. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients or team members.
