This position is ideal for someone looking to start or advance their career in diesel repair while working alongside experienced technicians in a fast-paced fleet maintenance environment. As an Entry-Level Diesel Mechanic, you will assist with preventative maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy-duty trucks, refuse equipment, trailers, and hydraulic systems. We are willing to train the right candidate who has a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and desire to learn. Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance services on heavy-duty trucks and equipment. Assist with diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and air brake systems. Perform DOT inspections and safety checks. Complete work orders accurately and in a timely manner. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Operate shop equipment and tools safely. Respond to service calls when assigned. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Qualifications Basic mechanical knowledge required. Diesel technology training or vocational school experience preferred but not required. Valid driver's license required. Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical labor. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attendance and reliability. Willingness to learn and grow within the company. Preferred Qualifications Experience working on heavy-duty trucks, trailers, construction equipment, or refuse equipment. Basic knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, and air brakes.
